Opened in 2007, the Hotel Fasano, located in one of Rio’s most popular areas, at the junction of the Ipanema and Copacabana districts, has once again been recognized for its excellence in hospitality. The establishment was voted the best hotel in South America by the readers of Condé Nast Traveller magazine in the prestigious “Readers’ Choice Awards” published on Tuesday (01/10). With an impressive 575,000 votes from tourists around the world, the Fasano scored an impressive 99.71 points out of 100.
With eight floors, the Fasano has 81 apartments and 10 suites, all designed to offer the highest standards of comfort and sophistication. Its privileged location, opposite Arpoador, offers breathtaking views of the beach, Morro Dois Irmãos and Corcovado, and is also the favorite of international celebrities when they visit Rio. During the last edition of Rock in Rio, part of the attraction chose the Fasano as their temporary home, even though it was 30 km away from the festival. Its façade is often taken over by fans when a singer passes the hotel.
The hotel’s design is a tribute to the Brazilian architecture of the 1950s and 1960s, an era marked by Bossa Nova. One of the hotel’s main attractions is its infinity pool, which extends to the horizon of the beach. In addition, the Fasano offers a variety of facilities, including a Spa and a Fitness Center. As far as gastronomy is concerned, the Gero Rio restaurant, located inside the hotel, is known for its high-quality Italian cuisine. With award-winning dishes such as risotto and pasta.
The Hotel Fasano is not the only Rio representative to shine on the Condé Nast Traveller list. The Copacabana Palace, a classic of Rio’s haute hotel industry, also stood out, taking third place in the awards.
