The world golf major will be held at the Olympic Course, located in Barra da Tijuca
It was confirmed at the PGA Tour headquarters in Florida (USA) on Wednesday (10/07) that the next three stages of the PGA Tour Americas will be held in Rio de Janeiro, at the Olympic Golf Course in Barra da Tijuca, in the city’s West Zone.
In 2025, 2026 and 2027, the Marvelous City will be the stage for this major world golf competition. “For the first time we’ve managed to bring a PGA Tour world golf tournament to Rio. Brazil’s sport and tourism win,” said Carlos Favoreto, president of the Olympic Golf Course.
PGA Tour Americas is the world’s leading association of professional golfers and runs a series of tournaments in Latin America, Canada and the United States.
In April this year, the 69th edition of the ECP Brazil Open was held at the Olympic Golf Course in Barra, organized by the PGA, with 144 athletes of different nationalities and 1,500 people attending each day.
