Condé Nast Traveler has announced the results of its annual Readers’ Choice awards, with the Grand Hyatt Rio de Janeiro recognized in 9th place in the “Hotels in South America” category.
Condé Nast Traveler is a luxury travel and lifestyle magazine based in New York City and published by Condé Nast, a global media company owned by Advanced Publications. More than 575,000 readers of the publication across the United States submitted responses evaluating their travel experiences around the world from April 1 to June 30, 2024, naming their favorites in categories such as hotels, resorts, cruises, spas, among others.
The award reflects Grand Hyatt Rio de Janeiro’s commitment to the global standards of excellence of the Grand Hyatt brand, offering a complete structure and excellent services with a focus on hospitality.

Located between Barra da Tijuca Beach and Marapendi Lagoon, the urban resort has 436 rooms and suites, two restaurant options, the award-winning Japanese Shiso and Cantô Gastrô & Lounge, specializing in Brazilian cuisine, Atiaia Spa, of international standard, a large area with an outdoor pool and wet deck and bar service, beach service that includes chairs, towels and umbrellas, as well as an exclusive exit.
