Spanish airline Iberia has strengthened its operations in South America by adding another flight. From January 15, 2025, travelers departing from Rio will have the company’s fifth weekly flight on the Madrid – Rio de Janeiro route, operated by Airbus A330-200 jets, according to the AeroRoutes portal.
Iberia currently offers four daily flights, which will only operate until January 14, and between January 22 and February 11, during the “low season”, between New Year’s Eve and Carnival.
According to Aero In, the city of Bogotá in Colombia will see a reduction in frequency, from the current 3 daily flights (21 weekly) to 20 flights per week.
Operations will continue to be carried out by Airbus A350-900XWB.
