The Cine Roxy, one of Copacabana’s cultural symbols, has been included by US magazine Time in its list of the Best Places in the World in 2025. The traditional publication annually highlights unmissable attractions around the planet, and this year, the iconic Rio venue made it into the select ranking.
The Roxy, which was once the largest movie theater in Brazil, underwent a transformation and reopened in October 2024 as the Roxy Dinner Show, a space that combines gastronomy and live musical performances. Located on the corner of Avenida Nossa Senhora de Copacabana and Rua Bolívar, the venue retains its historic grandeur, now with an innovative entertainment proposal.
